What is Executive Coaching?
Executive Coaching is a relationship which focuses on your taking
action towards the realization of your business/professional vision, goals or desires. It is like having a personal trainer
for your career. Executive Coaching emphasizes the empowerment and self direction that naturally arise as you discover the
goals you truly want to achieve, as opposed to the goals you just thought you should have.
What about business/professional
partnerships?
Business and professional relationships inevitably go through developmental processes as do other
types of relationships. That is, they usually experience a "honeymoon period" followed by a period of "storming"
in which differences and conflicts become all too apparent.
Without specialized communication skills, these differences
can become quagmires. Rather than being springboards to creative synergy, conflicts can end in bitter inpasse or even
in "divorce". In his work with business/ professioanl partnerships, Dr. Becker teaches a proven communication approach
which is easily learned and, with proficiency, can create a harmonious, mutually supportive, creative and successful business
collaboration.
Who can benefit from Executive Coaching?
Anyone who is ready to invest in themselves. Anyone who is ready to find and actualize their true dreams as differentiated from the expectations of parents, the culture,
their colleagues or anybody else. Anyone seeking full empowerment and clear direction. Colleagues who want mutual
synergy in their work relationship.
Examples:
Executives wanting to articulate and accomplish
their unique definition of success. Executives wanting to move from facility in management to mastery in leadership. Professionals in career transition. Entrepreneurs starting a new enterprise. Those stuck in an enterprise. Business partners wanting to learn how to communicate in ways that unleash shared creativity.
What happens in
Executive Coaching?
Most of the process involves, expert, yet down to earth, discussions with your coach. At times
various vocational, career, personal interest, values clarification and other psychological inventories can be employed.
